Projects

Use projects to manage workflows with automated task scheduling, critical date notifications, and task approvals. Track individual tasks, subtasks, and critical paths across your portfolio.

A project is a workflow schedule tracked as an object in Siterra. Associate projects with sites, search rings, assets, vendors, and events.

Project status is indicated by an icon:

Classic Siterra

Navigate to a project using the navigation hierarchy, the quick navigation bar, search, or To-Dos.

Add a project from the left sidebar navigation pane of a site, search ring, asset, vendor, or event Home page and associate the new project with that object.

The project home page includes:

• Project Information:

  • Name

  • Template

  • Number

  • Start and End Dates

  • Status

  • Type

  • Project Authorization

  • Plan Table

  • Progress

  • Percentage Complete

• Project Schedule: View the task schedule for the project.

• Edit Schedule: Make changes to the project schedule.

• Responsibilities: Define the parties responsible for activities on the project.

Depending on portfolio settings, some fields and panes may vary.

Toolbar

• Edit: Make changes to the project information.

• Update Status: Change the status of the project.

  Subtasks only appear in To-Dos for a responsible user when the project status is Active.

• Archive: Remove the project from Siterra without deleting it. This relocates the project to the Archive Manager. An archived project can't be accessed or reported on unless it's restored.

• Delete: Delete the project and its child objects. Once deleted, a project can no longer be accessed or reported on.

  This action is permanent and cannot be undone. To remove a project from Siterra but restore it later, archive it.

• Log: View a record of actions taken on the project.

• Status Log: View a record of the project's statuses.

• Subscribe: Manage and create notification subscriptions for the project.

Your portfolio administrator determines the buttons and menus that appear in the toolbar.

Quick access

Use the quick access panes in the left navigation pane to access other objects associated with the project. Select an object to display that object's home page:

• Sites: Other sites in the parent search ring.

• Hubs: Hub objects associated with the parent object for portfolios with Small Cell functionality enabled.

• Additional Data: Any additional custom forms (not marked as default) associated with the project.

• Projects: Other projects associated with the parent object created with templates.

• Assets: Assets associated with the parent object.

• Custom Projects: Ad hoc projects associated with the parent object.

• Libraries: Schedule libraries related to the project.

Your portfolio administrator determines the sections that appear in the left navigation pane.
