Responsibilities
Manage project responsibilities from the Responsibilities pane of the Project home page. Assign specific users to a role to ensure they receive the tasks associated with that role in their To-Dos.
Request permissions from your administrator.
Assign a responsibility to one user
If you assign users to roles on a project, those assignments override the parent search ring or site. Only roles assigned to a subtask appear in the Responsibilities pane. Contact an administrator for more information.

Assign users with responsibility sets
The schedule template defines the role-to-task mapping. You cannot override these mappings per project. Projects query the template mapping directly, so changes to the template take effect on existing and new projects automatically.
If your configuration uses role sets, update each role set separately to prevent outdated role assignments on existing projects. Role sets do not inherit from the base template role-task mapping. A change to the template does not update a role set.
To change the role responsible for a task:
- Edit the schedule template or the active role set for that unit.
- Refresh the users assigned to the project.
Use responsibility sets to save time when assigning the same people to a schedule template. Assign responsibilities once, save the assignments, and reuse them on any project. Apply a responsibility set to an existing project or a new project during creation.
If you have permissions, apply responsibility sets to projects.
- Responsibility sets are user-specific and not shared between users.
- The project does not track which set is applied.
- Multiple users can apply multiple sets.
- Responsibility sets are additive. Project assignments update based on the most recent set applied.
- Create up to 10 responsibility sets. To increase this limit, contact your administrator.
When you update a schedule template or update a role set, Siterra automatically applies the change to existing projects that use that template or role set. Template changes do not update role sets. You must update each role set manually. Refresh the users assigned to the project to see changes.
