Demographics - Intalytics Integration
Prerequistes
To use the Intalytics integration:
-
Set up an account with Intalytics.
-
Work with the your Accruent representative and Intalytics Account Manager to complete a field mapping.
Field mappings allow data to flow between Lucernex and Intalytics.
-
Obtain the following from your Intalytics Account Manager and provide it to your Accruent representative:
-
Credentials for your default Intalytics account
-
Your SiteIntel API token URL
-
Your SiteIntel URL
-
-
Your Accruent representative must enable the integration.
-
Once your firm is enabled, you must configure security for your user classes.
-
Enter Intalytics credentials for your "super users" at the member-level.
-
Add latitude and longitude data to your sites, projects, and facilities.
Use the Lucernex Intalytics integration to manage site planning and forecasting in the Site, Project, and Facility modules using the view of your Intalytics instance with all available layers and reports. You can gain greater visibility into the state of your portfolio as well as known information about competitors, demographics, city / town infrastructure, and other data that you can use to determine where to plant new sites and where to consolidate.
When you first open the Demographics Study tab, Intalytics opens with a map pane, Google Street View, and satellite view of the entity address. A fourth pane on the rightmost side of the page lists reports that you can overlay. For example, if a Total Population report is available, you can select it to view an overlay of that report in the map pane
Accruent does not manage credentials for this integration. Your credentials are managed by Intalytics. If you need to retrieve these credentials, contact your Intalytics account manager.
Key Elements
The key elements of this integration are below:
-
When a site, project, or facility is created in Lucernex, a site is also created in Intalytics.
These two records are linked by a common ID. Any record updates made in Lucernex will also be reflected in Intalytics.
-
The Site, Project, and Facility modules all contain a Demographics sub-module.
This sub-module is an embedded view of your Intalytics views, layers, reports, and other data. All functionality available in Intalytics is available in this embedded view.
-
Intalytics reports can be built, run within Lucernex, and saved to Lucernex Reports.
Users can utilize Intalytics reports as part of their overall site evaluation process in Lucernex, to answer these and other questions:
-
Where are other company sites in relation to a site under evaluation?
-
Where are competitors in relation to a site under evaluation?
-
-
Users can then use Lucernex's Binder functionality to incorporate this reporting into the final Site Pack.
With binders you can merge files into a single PDF for printing and sharing. Your System Administrator can create a binder template to guide you through the steps to create a document.
Using the Integration
Once the Intalytics integration has been configured by your Accruent Administrator, there are six main functions you will need to perform. These do not include any custom reports which may have been set up for you by your Accruent Administrator.
System Administrator Functions
The following functions would typically be handled by a system administrator.
Configure User Security for Demographics Access
To utilize the Demographics tab in the ways described above, your user classes must have the minimum settings described below.
-
This list does not include other settings which may be necessary for properly configuring your user classes. For more information about how to create or configure user classes, see the Basics of User Security walkthrough.
-
Additionally, you will need to grant your users access to the folders where you save your demographics reports. To learn how to set permissions for folders and documents, see the Folder Security walkthrough.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do I need to pay more to access the integration?
If you’re an existing customer that is already live on both products, there is no additional charge outside of your annual license and maintenance costs.
-
Where do I access Intalytics within Lucernex? Is it easy? What exactly am I seeing when I view Intalytics from Lucernex?
There is a sub-module called Demographics within the Site, Project, and Facility modules which displays your Intalytics view.
A user will see the same view they are familiar with when logging into Intalytics directly. The key difference is that this view is embedded within Lucernex modules, thus reducing the need to go back and forth between solutions and gaining efficiency through a more cohesive process.
-
Can I control who sees the Intalytics sub-module in Lucernex?
Yes, the view of Intalytics is limited to a sub-module in Lucernex Sites, Projects, and Facilities. As such, access to the module can be limited by User Class. Further, security can be optionally controlled user-by-user in the Member record in Lucernex.
-
How do Sites map across the two applications?
Sites, projects, and facilities originate in Lucernex and move to Intalytics when the required Intalytics values are completed within Lucernex. You will need to work with your Implementation teams and / or Account Managers on both products to make sure all Intalytics fields map to a Lucernex field.
After establishing a record in Intalytics through this process, a user can view Lucernex sites, projects, and facilities in Intalytics without ever leaving Lucernex. This includes generating reports which can be saved to your Lucernex Reports area.
-
What’s the expected work flow with the integration enabled in Lucernex?
Various demographic views and reports are already built for users in Intalytics during your Intalytics implementation. Upon creating a site, project, or facility in Lucernex, you will find that the Demographics module is populated with your Intalytics view.
You can view various demographics layers. This can inform what you enter during the site review process. Furthermore, Intalytics reports can be built directly in your Lucernex view, exported, and saved to the entity report tree to be included in your final proposal.
