Build an Email Report

When you build an Email Report, you can have TMS send one or more Standard or Designer report definitions to a list of recipients, either repetitively or on an exception basis. Email Reports can be sent on any frequency from 10 minutes to annually. You can also skip sending the report if the report is empty and skip weekends to avoid meaningless reports.

First, you have to set up Email Reports in the TMS Control Panel.  Your TMS system administrator is probably responsible for setting up TMS Control Panel.  For more information on setting up TMS Control Panel, consult the TMS Administrator Guide.

There are five general steps you need to perform to building an Email Report . Select a link to see detailed instructions.

  1. Create and save a new Email Report.
  2. Add the content of the Email Report.
  3. Add the email addresses to whom you want to receive the Email Report.
  4. Add the email subject, header, and footer.
  5. Schedule the next send date, frequency, and interval.

There is also one optional step, and that is to set permissions for who can access the email report. Until permissions are established, all TMS users can access an email report.
