Create and Edit PE Schedules

Planned Event (PE) schedules are used to track events (often reoccurring) that are set to occur at some point in the future. A planned event is an activity that is scheduled to occur at some point in the future (it can be a recurring event).

Example uses for PE schedules include:

  • Schedule repetitive events: fire drills, inspections, employee reviews, training

  • Schedule a specific start and end time for event.

  • Track employee training hours by charging time to planned events.

  • Include agenda or notes for an event right in the PE work order.

  • Track attendance on the PE work order with time charges.

PE schedules are distinguished from PM schedules in that PM schedules involve assets or specific facilities, and planned events do not. Planned events generally involve people or other resources identified in the Resource module. Any action that requires advanced planning, but doesn't involve assets or facilities, should be entered as a planned event.
