Set Up TMS Print Services
TMS Printing Services coordinates and manages printing jobs across networks. TMS Printing Services polls TMS Control Panel for new items in the print queue. If new items are found, they are sent to the specified printer on the network.
TMS Printing Services works with these features in TMS:
-
Automatic Schedule Generation - When PM, PE, and inspection work orders are automatically generated, TMS Printing Services handles the distribution of the work orders to the network printer on which they are to be printed.
-
Manual Schedule Generation - When a user manually generates PM, PE, and inspection work orders and then selects those work orders to be printed, TMS Printing Services handles the distribution of the work orders to the network printer on which they are to be printed.
- TMS AutoPrint - The TMS AutoPrint feature involves the creation of work order profiles which you will use to set up TMS to search for and locate new work orders that match the profile's search criteria and then send the work orders for automatic printing. TMS AutoPrint is usually used to print work orders created with TMS Web Request.
To get started, you must install and configure TMS Printing Services.
TMS OnLine users: Before you can proceed to the installation topic, you must download the software. See the Download TMS Print Services topic to begin installing TMS Printing Services for TMS OnLine.
