Create a PPM through PPM Manager

Create a PPM schedule to manage routine maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment stays operational and preventing issues before they become critical. The PPM Manager provides a more user-friendly and streamlined experience compared to the old method, which required using PPM Templates and Service Provider > Contracts.

If you already created PPMs through the Contracts page, you must update and manage them in Contracts. Likewise, if you create PPMs through the PPM Manager, you need to manage them through the PPM Manager.

Prerequisites

Before creating a PPM, ensure the following:

  • If you want to use templates, first create them in AdminPPM Templates.

  • If you want to use URLs, first create them in AdminPPM URLs.

Procedure

  1. Go to AdminPPM Manager and click Create PPM.

  2. Choose one of the options:

    • Create using existing template: On the Choose PPM template window, select a template and click Select PPM template.

    • Create new PPM: Proceed without a template.

  3. Enter basic details for your PPM schedule in the Details tab.

  4. Define the PPM schedule to follow.

  5. Add activities that should be performed during maintenance.

  6. Add URLs that might be relevant to the task.

  7. Assign related sites and providers.

  8. Modify default values in the Advanced Options tab.

  9. Review the PPM builder's and contract's change history.

  10. Review the selected providers.

  11. Click Publish.

Once created, you can view PPM schedules in PPM Schedules. You can also prevent the PPM from generating work orders if necessary.

Navigation

The PPM Builder includes the following navigation buttons:

  • Back: Returns to the previous tab.
  • Save current values: Saves progress up to that point.

  • Cancel: Cancels PPM creation and returns to PPM Manager.

  • Next: Moves to the next tab.

  • Publish: Available on the final tab. It publishes the PPM.
