Schedules Module Overview

The Schedules module contains all of your facility’s preventive maintenance and planned event information. The Schedules module is broken into four main parts:

PM Schedules

Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules are created so that you can prevent problems by maintaining assets (heating/cooling systems, lab equipment, medical devices, vehicles) according to a regular schedule.

PE Schedules

Planned Event (PE) schedules are used to track events (often reoccurring) that are set to occur at some point in the future. For example: fire drills, inspections, employee reviews, training

For information on how PM and PE schedules differ, see Key Differences Between PM, PE, and Inspection Schedules.

Inspections Schedules

Inspections schedules are created so that you can prevent problems by regularly inspecting assets according to a set schedule. Inspections schedules are templates used to create inspections work orders. These are not the inspections work orders themselves.

Schedule Generation

Schedule generation allows you to generate into work orders for technicians to complete. Schedules can be generated at a set interval (automatic or manual) or on an on-demand basis (manual generation).

There are two generation functions available : Automatic Schedule Generation and Manual Schedule Generation. For information on how these generation types differ, see Key Differences Between Automatic and Manual Schedule Generation.
