PM Schedule (TMS Enterprise) - Main Tab

On the PM Schedule (TMS Enterprise) standard form, there are two tabs available for PE schedule creation: the Main tab and the Details tab. There are additional tabs available for editing.

The Last Completed and Last Generated fields show when the PM work order was last completed and the previous Next Due Date for the PM schedule.

There are four ways you can schedule PMs in TMS, and the screen changes according to your selection:

  • Both – The PM is generated based on dates or a meter, for example, changing the oil every 3,000 miles or every 90 days, whichever comes first. See Schedule Both (Calendar and Meter) based PMs for more information.
  • Calendar – The the PM schedule is generated based on dates. See Schedule Calendar Based PMs for more information.
  • Meter – The PM schedule is generated based on a threshold, like miles, for example, changing the oil in your car every 3,000 miles. See Schedule Meter Based PMs for more information.
  • Unshceduled (On-Demand) – The PM schedule is in the database but will not generate. You might use this for assets out for repair or on-demand PMs.

Type N/A

There are three PM Schedule Types:

  • Active – if the PM due date or next due meter reading falls within the range established in automatic PM generation setup, TMS automatically generates your PM work orders.
  • Default – is used for creating PM schedules for a category of assets. For example, if you create a Default type PM schedule for all of the air handler devices, every time your organization purchases a new air handler, TMS creates a new active PM schedule for the category of assets that is Air Handler.

  • Unscheduled (On-Demand) – you can generate a PE work order by using Manual PM/PE Generation. Unscheduled PE schedules will not generate by Automatic PM Generation. These PE schedules should be created for planned events that occur on an as-needed basis.

Notes About Custom Field Values

  • Custom field values carry across multiple modules. For example, if an asset record contains custom field values, if the asset is added to a PM schedule, the custom field values populate the corresponding custom fields on the PM schedule.
  • If multiple assets are on the PM schedule, only the custom field values from the first asset are applied to the PM schedule.

The defaults that you set in this section determines what codes the PM work order will be created with when this PM schedule is generated.
