About Manual Schedule Generation
There are two ways to generate PMs, PEs, and inspections: manual and automatic. Manual Schedule Generation is designed to allow you to generate your schedules on-demand. These can be performed at any time and for a variety of reasons. You can perform a Manual Schedule Generation to get a PM Work Order sooner, or to receive a PM/PE/Inspection type WO after a failed Auto Generation, or even just for preference over Auto Generation.
Manual generation consists of four parts:

Search for Schedules that are available for generation.

Select the schedules to be generated from the list of query results.

Select from the available generation options.

Start the generation of your schedules.
