Data Dictionary

You can use the Data Dictionary to help you understand Lucernex fields. The Data Dictionary has this information for each field:

• Is Functional: This flag indicates whether the field has an impact upon data somewhere else in the system:

  • Every global field has a read-only value for this field.

  • For custom fields, your System Administrator can set this value to True or False.

  For example, if your System Administrator creates a math field which is used to impact your budget columns, they can set the Is Functional flag to True.

• Definition: Describes the purpose of the field:

  • Each global field has a default definition. Your System Administrator can replace this with a firm-specific definition.

  • Your System Administrator can enter a definition for each custom field.

You can:

• View field definitions

• Add definitions

• Import field definitions

• Generate a report of definitions
