On the Work Order Options Setup screen (Setup > Work Orders > Options), you have a variety of settings you can enable or disable as necessary.
Module Option | Function |
---|---|
Automatically Prompt for Downtime |
With this option enabled, TMS prompts the user to enter downtime information for your work order. |
Create Requisitions instead of Purchase Orders from Material Issues |
Enable this option if a requisition should be created instead of a purchase orders for a material issue. The Purchasing add-on module must be in use for this option to function properly. |
Prompt for Username/Password during Status Change |
Enable this if the user should be required to enter their login information before a work order status change. |
Set Complete Date When Status Changed to Cmplt or Close |
Enable this to set the Completion Date when the work order is closed. |
Show Copy Procedures Instructions to Completion Comments button |
Enable this if you want to see this button on a work order. |
WO Requester Source |
You can choose WO Requesters (default), Resources, or Active Directory in this drop-down menu. WO Requesters populates the drop-down menu with known requesters. Resources lists known TMS resources. Active Directory allows you to enter an Active Directory username and populate the Requester fields based on the information AD record. In order for the Active Directory option to work, the user's AD record must have data in the Work Phone and/or Email fields. |

Checking this means that TMS will automatically create a new corrective maintenance work order when a PM or PE work order fails. See this topic for detailed steps for this option. |
