Work Order Options Page

On the Work Order Options Setup page (Setup > Work Orders > Options), you have a variety of settings you can enable or disable as necessary. For information on the options available to you and what they mean, see this topic.

Module Selection

  • Options - This drop-down menu allows you to choose whether you are setting options by Segment or Group.

  • Module - This is set to Work Orders by default. You can select other modules from this drop-down menu to see their available options.

  • Segment - This drop-down menu allows you to select for which database segment the settings will be applied.

  • Group - If select Group in the Options drop-down menu, Group appears, and you can select a user group for which these setting will be applied.

This section lists all of the available Work Orders module options. Enabled options have checks next to them.

Create Work Order for Failed PMs

This option allows you to set up TMS to automatically create work orders when a PM work order is marked as FAILPM. This option is most often used by Biomed departments.

Code drop-down menus (only accessible when the option is enabled):

  • Status/Sub Status field pair - These drop-down menus allow you to select the Status code and Sub Status code combination that will launch the automatic creation of the new work order.

  • Type/Status/Sub Status/Priority field group - These drop-down menus allow you to select the code defaults that will appear on the automatically created work order.

Select All and Clear All

These buttons allow you to quickly enable all of the options on this page (Select All), or quickly disable all of the options on this page (Clear All). If multiple options are enabled on this page, but you only want one or two options to be enabled, Clear All can quickly disable all of the options you don't want and then you can reselect the few options you do want.
