Create and Edit Inspections
Inspections are created so that you can prevent problems by maintaining assets, for example, heating/cooling systems, lab equipment, medical devices, or vehicles according to a regular schedule. Inspections schedules are templates used to create inspections work orders. These are not the inspections work orders themselves.
Inspections contain information that is used during Inspection generation (automatic or manual) to create the individual Inspection work order. They contain information about what work is to be performed and what materials are required, as well as scheduling information. The scheduling information determines the frequency for how often the work should be performed. This is the information that is passed to the inspection work order when it is generated.
Inspections are tied to an asset. You can also use inspections as a maintenance template for a certain categories of assets, rather than specific asset or asset group.
Due to the differences between standard forms, we have included detailed descriptions of the fields on each tab of each form in the Standard Form Reference sections. Consult those sections for more detail on an individual form's fields.
