Charge Time for Work Performed and Other Activities
The Resource Time Charges page allows you to log time spent on work and non-maintenance activities, such as meetings, training, and time off. To log time, follow these steps:

From the Modules menu, select Resources > Resource Time Charges.
The Resource Time Charges page opens.

From the Segment drop-down menu, select the appropriate segment.

From the Resource drop-down menu, select the resource.
Notice that some fields automatically complete. These are fields that you selected when you created the resource.

From the Date drop-down calendar, select a date.
You cannot select a date that occurs in the future.

In the Time Charges area, click the New Time Charge button.
The Time Charge dialog box opens.

From the Hours Type drop-down menu, select the hours type.

In the Hours field, enter the number of hours the resource worked.
The Date and Cost fields automatically fill in. The Cost is the number of hours the resource worked multiplied by the resource charge rate.

In the Date field modify the default date, if needed

In the Stop Time field, enter a stop time for this time charge.

From the Billable drop-down, select whether the time charge is billable or not.
No is selected by default. You might select Yes for work done in an off-site clinic that is billable directly to that clinic.

From the Account drop-down menu, select the account to charge for this time.

If you want to charge this time to a specific record, such as a work order, asset, or cost center, select the Charge To tab and enter the required information.

To charge time to an existing work order, enter a value in the Work Order Number field.

To charge time to a specific procedure associated with a work order, select the procedure from the Procedure Number drop-down menu.

To charge time to an asset, either associated with a work order or not, enter a value in the Asset Number field or click the Lookup button to locate the appropriate asset.

From the Cost Center drop-down menu, select a cost center.
You might select a cost center when the account code is not the area being charged.

Enter values in the Contract and Contract Term fields to specify any needed any contract information.
Important!Any discount or markup applied to a material issue or time charge with a Contracts Term will not be applied to the Total Cost on the work order, or the Cost field on a material issue or time charge. The discount or markup will only be visible in the Contract Adjusted Cost field on the applicable material issue or time charge.

If the Show X12-850 fields on Material Issue option is enabled, enter values in the fields marked with a red *.

If you want to add comments, click the Comments tab and enter them in the Comments field.

Click Save.
The new time charge is displayed in the Time Charges area. You can edit or delete a time charge as needed.
