Use History to View Changes to a Record

If the Module Logging option is turned on, the History button allows you to see a snapshot of all changes made to a particular record on a given day. It's available in these modules: Work Orders, Assets, Procedures, and Schedules.

In the Schedules module, if you add or delete a material from a PM or PE schedule, it will appear on the log. In the Procedures module, if you add or delete a sub procedure, it will appear on the log.

To view changes to asset record, follow these steps:

  1. Retreive the record for which you want to view the historical data.

In our case, we'll go to Assets > Edit and enter the asset number

  2. Click Continue

  3. Click Save to refresh the log

  4. Click History in the toolbar

  5. The Audit Log window opens. By default, the audit shows the current date's changes to the record.

If you want to view data from a different date, select a different date from the calendars. (Clicking the right and left arrow buttons allows you to scroll through the calendar months.)

  6. If you click the blue Information button next to the words 8 fields affected (words will vary depending on asset), a second window opens with a complete audit of the asset record in one window

  7. To print this full audit as needed, click Print

  8. When done reviewing this audit, click Close and then X on the first audit window
