Set Default Field Properties
Your custom form is almost complete. Now, you will set some default properties on the form so that your users can enter work orders quickly and efficiently. The following guideline apply to how your organization does work:
-
The majority of your work orders require the attention of the HVAC department.
-
All of the work orders that are entered through your custom page are corrective maintenance work orders.
-
By department policy, the status of new work orders is always pending.
-
The users who enter work orders do not determine the priority of a work order.
Default field values cannot apply to a form in Edit mode only. They also do not apply in Query mode, unless you have the option to allow defaults in Query mode enabled using Setup > General > Options.
For more information, see About Default Field Values on Custom Forms and Configure General Options.
