Metadata in RedEyeDMS lets you create, manage, and store structured information such as Title, Revision, Discipline, and Site. You can configure each type of structured data as metadata field with specific settings. This allows you to:

Since RedEyeDMS stores all artefacts at a single level (not in folders), metadata is essential for effective search. For example, users can filter search results by Site, Asset, Discipline, or Document Type to find relevant artefacts. You can configure metadata fields to trigger management events such as audits or retention actions. This helps ensure compliance and long-term governance.
