Send Documents to Meridian Portal

You can send project copies for revision or informational purposes to business partners who don’t have access to Meridian Power using the integration with Meridian Portal, using a simplified and streamlined workflow.

Prerequisites

You must be a member of a group assigned to the Document Controller, Project Owner, or Tenant Administrator role for the parent folder.

  1. Create a folder in the vault to represent the Meridian Portal project if it does not already exist.

  2. Link the folder to a Meridian Portal project.

  3. Create project copies of the master documents in the folder including required CAD references if they do not already exist.

Send Documents from Meridian Power to Meridian Portal

  1. Select the project copies that you want to send to Meridian Portal.

  2. In the Exchange ribbon, click Send to Meridian Portal.

    If the Send to Meridian Portal command is unavailable, review the prerequisites to use it. You might need to link the folder to a Meridian Portal project.

  3. In the Send to Meridian Portal dialog, enter:

    • Recipients: From the list of project members linked to the vault project folder, select the recipients who will work with the documents in the Meridian Portal. The recipient's role and the project copy status determine the purpose and workflow of the documents.

    • Package Description: Enter a description of the package for the recipient.

    • Include CAD references: Select to include the CAD reference documents in the package sent to Meridian Portal.

  4. Click OK.

The system displays the progress of documents being added to an export package for transfer to Meridian Portal. If the document already exists in the Meridian Portal project, the document is added as a new revision.
