What's New in the 2023.0 Release
Meridian Cloud is software as a service (SaaS) that is continuously improved. We deploy these improvements to your account (tenancy) as soon as they are completed and tested.
Some of the improvements are minor and are immediately available to you to use. These typically have little to no impact on your data and processes and do not require configuration.
Some of the improvements are part of a major feature that has not yet been completed. These typically can have an impact on your data or processes and might require configuration.
Partial improvements are typically disabled in your account until the entire feature has been completed and tested. Each quarter, we enable the completed major features either for all Meridian Cloud accounts or for specific accounts after consulting with you.

Release Toggles And Feature Toggles
A release toggle is a temporary switch used while a feature is being developed and tested on Accruent-only tenancies. It hides the feature from production releases until the feature is ready for release. We enable all release toggles as part of the release process first for Accruent-only tenants, second for customer non-production tenants, and finally for customer production tenants. There is 3 to 4 week gap between each step. The functionality enabled by a particular release toggle is noted below.
A feature toggle is used to configure an application depending on a customer's subscription level or unique needs. These can be changed per customer via a Support request. Learn more about feature toggles.

MPS-47759 |
PowerWeb in Meridian Cloud now uses the new PowerWeb IIS application delivered in the Meridian Enterprise 2022 release. This IIS application replaces another IIS application in our product called Meridian, which has several known issues. Going forward, this new component will have fewer errors and will be easier to maintain by the Meridian team. |
MPS-34979 |
When you delete a plant or region, Portal now warns you that deleting the plant or region will remove role assignments associated with that plant or region. If you proceed with the deletion, the associated role assignments are removed. |
MPS-42718 |
When you import a large number of documents to PowerWeb using an import package, email notifications are sent for the documents currently in a workflow. This can cause performance issues depending upon the size of the import. To address this issue, in 2022.0 we added the DisableMeridianNotifications feature toggle to disable all email notifications from PowerWeb for all users. In this release, we have added a new Disable email notification when mass importing documents toggle to the Email Settings page. This toggle gives Tenant Administrators the ability to enable and disable email notifications as necessary. With the addition of this new setting, we will be removing the existing feature toggle. |
MPS-45121 |
You can now create rules in your distribution matrix that can be applied to any project type. |
MPS-45122 |
You can now copy default distribution rules for all project types to a separate project type. You can then add, edit, or delete the distribution rules for this project type. |

This issue occurred as in the following example: a Document Controller added four reviewers and tried to delete the second one, but the last one was removed instead. When trying to re-add the user that was removed incorrectly, the second user appeared in the list. The package couldn't be sent in this case. |
