What's New in the 2023.0 Release

PowerWeb in Meridian Cloud now uses the new PowerWeb IIS application delivered in the Meridian Enterprise 2022 release. This IIS application replaces another IIS application in our product called Meridian, which has several known issues. Going forward, this new component will have fewer errors and will be easier to maintain by the Meridian team.

When you import a large number of documents to PowerWeb using an import package, email notifications are sent for the documents currently in a workflow. This can cause performance issues depending upon the size of the import. To address this issue, in 2022.0 we added the DisableMeridianNotifications feature toggle to disable all email notifications from PowerWeb for all users.

In this release, we have added a new Disable email notification when mass importing documents toggle to the Email Settings page. This toggle gives Tenant Administrators the ability to enable and disable email notifications as necessary.

With the addition of this new setting, we will be removing the existing feature toggle.

You can now create rules in your distribution matrix that can be applied to any project type.

You can now copy default distribution rules for all project types to a separate project type. You can then add, edit, or delete the distribution rules for this project type.

We've made the following improvements related to imports and exports:

• Imports and exports of expertise lists applicable to Any project type are now processed successfully.

• Configuration imports and exports for areas of expertise applicable to Any project type are now processed successfully.

• Importing a Distribution Matrix now sets expertise rules as expected.

Your document revision number syntax settings have been moved to a new Revision Number tab in your Document Properties settings. The Settings button for the Revision Number property no longer appears on the Document Properties tab.

With this change, we also made some user experience improvements to revision number syntax configuration:

• The Major number incremental moment setting has been replaced by a new Increment major number upon release of document toggle.

  This change was made to clarify how the setting impacted the incrementing of revision numbers.

• The Example section now uses the settings you've selected to demonstrate how revision numbers would increment in various scenarios in Portal and PowerWeb.

This enhancement is enabled by the 2023_0_RevisionExample release toggle.

We resolved the following issues related to the Audit Trail:

• The date filters now use UTC.

• The dates in the user interface and the dates in the export file are now the same.

• Some users were not being able to get results and download reports. Audit Trail Export now works as expected.

• View names are now appearing.

• Selecting Master Assets and enabling a new property now generates an "Added property" event in the Audit Trail, as expected. This action was generating an "Order priority" event.

You can now delete a tenant user from the system. The identities, group membership, and project access for that user will be removed. The actions from the user in the audit trail will remain.

When defining Document Naming Syntax, you can now add the Organization Description Name (Organization Name) and Code (Organization ID) properties to Project and Generic Document types.

We fixed an issue that prevented users from opening documents on the Package Details page.

We fixed an issue that caused packages with For Review status not to be visible to reviewers on the Package Details page.

We have improved the page layout of the General step of the Create Document from Template wizard so that the drop-down menus are more easily readable.

You can now use the Find Documents dialog to search a collection. We've also updated the options in the dialog so you can choose between searching the entire vault, a specific folder, or a collection.

We now support native PDF viewing in Cloud Explorer. XOD files are no longer required for rendering. The viewing capabilities include AutoCAD layers.

We fixed an issue that caused synchronization of documents and assets between PowerWeband Cloud Explorer to fail when part of the data is invalid. The import skips the invalid data and logs errors for them.
