Duplicate Service Request

The system flags duplicated service requests when multiple submissions are made for the same issue or task by matching asset ID and problem codes. This often happens when different individuals report the same problem, unaware of existing reports. If duplicates are detected, a message displays at the top of the page.

You then have the option to submit it, cancel, or revise your request. If the asset and problem codes match as existing request, but your service request points to a different issue, you should submit your service request.

Duplicate requests might not be flagged based on how your organization configured the Service Requester.

  1. On the Service Requester dashboard, click New service request.

  2. Enter the request details and click Review.

  3. If duplicate requests exist, a message displays.

  1. Do any of the following:

    • To update, click Back. You can then modify your service request.

    • To cancel, click Back, and then click Cancel.

    • To submit, click Submit.
