Licensed Members Tool: View / Remove Active User Sessions

The Active Licensed Members tool allows you to view the licensed members with active sessions and to terminate those sessions if needed. This tool is especially valuable when users are being prevented from accessing the system because the maximum number of concurrent licensed users has been exceeded. If a lengthy session time out is set for your organization or for individual members, users who are not actively using the system may be inadvertently holding onto a licensed session, preventing others from being able to log in.

This Active Licensed Members tool is a method to terminate sessions when you are already logged into the system. An external Session Manager is also available, allowing sessions to be terminated even if you cannot log into the system due to license constraints.

In addition to viewing and terminating active sessions, this feature allows you to send an email to live users, requesting that they log out of the system.

View or terminate active user sessions:

  1. Select Tools > Members > Active Licensed Members from the Main Menu.

    The Active Licensed Members window opens, listing all users with active sessions.

    The same user can hold multiple active sessions if they did not properly log-out of the system and subsequently logged back in.

  2. To send an email to an active user requesting that they log off the system, select the user's name and click the Email button.

    Your email client opens displaying an email addressed to the individual with the subject line: Please Logoff Maintenance Connection. You can add any additional details and then send the email.

  3. To terminate or remove an active user session, select the user's name and click the Remove button.

    The selected session will be terminated.

  4. Click Close.
