Common Lease Administrator Security Settings

This page goes over common security settings for a lease administrator user class. If your organization splits responsibilities into several different roles, you may distribute security settings accordingly. Each client's configuration will be slightly different—you may give your lease administrators greater or fewer permissions, or vary the permission level according to your needs.

Important!

Default field security will suffice for most user classes. The Lucernex team recommends you do not made modifications to field security settings unless there is a field that a user class should absolutely not access.

ClosedPage Access

The following table describes Page Access security settings recommended for a lease administrator.

This will give your lease administrator edit-access to all pages within the Contract module. Alternatively, you can apply different permissions to specific pages in the Contract module by expanding the Contract folder on the Manage Security > Page Access page.

Your lease administrator will need delete-access for this setting to delete accounting assumptions or accounting schedules.

Equipment Contract

This will give your lease administrator edit-access to all pages within the Equipment Contract module. Alternatively, you can apply different permissions to specific pages in the Equipment Contract module by expanding the Equipment Contract folder on the Manage Security > Page Access page.

Your lease administrator will need delete-access for this setting to delete accounting assumptions or accounting schedules.

This will give your lease administrator edit-access to all pages within the Location module. Alternatively, you can apply different permissions to specific pages in the Location module by expanding the Location folder on the Manage Security > Page Access page.

*These settings control whether your lease administrator can create lease accounting schedules.

**This setting controls whether your lease administrator has access to the setup wizards, including the RE Contract Setup Wizard and the Equipment Contract Setup Wizard.

***These folders contain all list layouts and sub pages in the system, both global and client-configured. Many of these items pertain to contracts, equipment contracts, and locations. Review these items and determine which items your lease administrators should have access to.
