Manage Holiday Calendar

Holidays are used to determine task completion dates in schedules. If a schedule is not crashed, weekends and holidays will not be used when determining task dates from lead, lag, or duration values.

You have the ability to apply a default holiday calendar at the Firm-level and the Portfolio-level. However, the system will honor the default schedule information in this order: Schedule tab on the entity, Portfolio Summary page, Manage Company page.

To navigate to the Manage Holiday Calendar page:

  1. Click Admin in the toolbar in the upper-right corner of the window.

    The System Administrator Dashboard page opens.

  2. Click Manage Holiday Calendar link in the Portfolio / Capital Program Administration column.

    The Manage Holiday Calendar page opens.

  3. Follow a procedure below.

ClosedAdd Holiday Calendar

To add a holiday calendar:

  1. Click Add Holiday Calendar.

    The Add dialog box opens.

  2. Enter the name of the calendar in the Calendar Name field.

  3. Click Add.

    The dialog box closes. The calendar appears in the Holiday Calendar table.

  4. Double-click the calendar you created.

    A Details table appears below the Holiday Calendar table.

  5. Click Add Holiday.

    The Add window opens.

  6. Enter the name of the holiday in the Holiday Name field.

  7. Select the year of the holiday from the Year field.

    If the holiday occurs on the same day each year, do not select a year from the field.

  8. Select the month of the holiday from the Month field.

  9. Enter the day of the holiday in the Day field.

  10. Click Add.

  11. Repeat steps 5 - 10 to add additional holidays to your calendar.

ClosedEdit Holiday Calendar Name

To edit the name of your holiday calendar:

  1. Click Edit in the Actions column of the record.

    The Edit dialog box opens.

  2. Make your changes.

  3. Click Update.

    The dialog box closes.Your changes are saved.

ClosedEdit Holidays in Your Holiday Calendar

To edit holidays in your holiday calendar:

  1. Double-click the name of the holiday calendar whose holiday you want to edit.

    A Details table appears below the Holiday Calendar table.

  2. Click Edit in the Actions column of the record.

    The Edit dialog box opens.

  3. Make your changes.

  4. Click Update.

    The dialog box closes.Your changes are saved.

ClosedDelete Holiday Calendar

To delete a holiday calendar:

  1. Click Delete in the Actions column of the record.

    A dialog opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  2. Click Yes.

    The holiday calendar is deleted. It no longer appears on the Manage Holiday Calendar page.

ClosedDelete Holidays from Your Holiday Calendar

To delete holidays from your holiday calendar:

  1. Double-click the name of the holiday calendar whose holiday you want to delete.

    A Details table appears below the Holiday Calendar table.

  2. Click Delete in the Actions column of the record.

    A dialog opens, asking you to confirm your choice.

  3. Click Yes.

    The holiday is deleted. It no longer appears on the calendar.
