Planning / Forecasting Set Up
Before the planning / forecasting tool can be used, you must add the Plan / Forecast list layout page to your Recurring Expenses page and mark your recurring expenses as being included in planning / forecasting.
Add Plan / Forecast List Layout
To add the plan / forecast list layout in Lucernex:

Click Admin in the toolbar in the upper-right corner of the window.
The System Administrator Dashboard page opens.

Click Manage Page Layouts link in the Company Administration column.
The Manage Summary Pages page opens.

Select the Manage List Layouts tab.
The Manage List Layouts page opens.

Click Add Item in the lower-right corner of the table.
The Add Item window opens.

Enter the name of your planning / forecasting layout in the Page Layout Name field.

Enter a description of the page layout in the Description field.

Select the Contract > Payment Info > Recurring Expenses folder from the Parent Tab field.
Important!You must always select a third-level tab when selecting a parent tab.

Select Expense Setup from the Primary Table field.

Select the Yes option under the Allow Edit setting.

If you would like to apply even column widths to this layout, select the Even Column Widths? check box.

Select Contract Expense Setup - Plan/Forecast [Global Layout] from the Initialize layout from existing layout field.

Select the portfolio you want this page layout to be available for from the Available for the following Portfolios / Capital Programs field.
All Portfolios / Capital Programs is selected by default. You can select multiple options.

Click Add.
The Add Item window closes. The new list layout appears on the page.
Important!If you were using the default Recurring Expenses page, you must now create a clone of the Recurring Expenses page. The reason you must do so is because the system will allow you to use custom list layouts or default list layouts, but not both.
If you were already using a clone or custom version of the Recurring Expenses page, you may disregard the following steps.

Click Add Item.
The Add Item window opens.

Enter the name of your recurring expenses layout in the Page Layout Name field.

Enter a description of the page layout in the Description field.

Select the Contract > Payment Info > Recurring Expenses folder from the Parent Tab field.
Important!You must always select a third-level tab when selecting a parent tab.

Select Expense Setup from the Primary Table field.

Select the Yes option under the Allow Edit setting.

Click Add.
The Add Item window closes. The new list layout appears on the page.

To view your new list layouts, navigate to Contract > Payment Info > Recurring Expenses.
Use the links in the Navigation Pane on the leftmost side of the page.
Your new list layout appears in the field to the left of the Actions menu on the right side of the page.
Mark Recurring Expenses as Include in Planning and Forecasting
To mark expense setup records as being included in planning and forecasting:

Navigate to Contract > Payment Info > Recurring Expenses.
Use the links in the Navigation Pane on the leftmost side of the page.

Select the expense setup record you want to include in your planning and forecasting from the Recurring Expenses List.

Scroll down to the Payment Flags / Indicators section of the page.

Select the Include in Planning and Forecasting check box.

Select the plan / forecast group from the Plan / Forecast Group field.

Add any notes pertaining to this recurring expense's planning / forecasting in the Planning and Forecasting Notes field.

Click Save Changes.
This displays in the Actions menu on the right side of the page.
The page refreshes. Your changes are saved.
