People: Groups and Contacts

  • A group is the organization, department, company, or individual responsible for a reservation. Groups are one of the core EMS components required to create reservations. Your organization may use groups to represent internal departments, external organizations, or individual customers.

  • A contact is the person associated with a group who serves as the primary point of contact for reservation-related questions, updates, and communications.

  • Your administrator can change the label for the Group field. For example, it might appear as Customer, Department, Client, or another name that reflects your organization's terminology.

  • Understand groups, contacts, and attendees

  • Attendees receive meeting invitations, while groups and primary contacts can receive notifications and updates through EMS.

    • Attendees are the people invited to participate in a meeting or event.

    • Groups are the organizations or individuals responsible for the reservation.

    • Contacts receive reservation-related communications and can coordinate changes and updates.
