Metrics
Metrics represent settings for usage and space, including utilization and lease expiration, custom labels, time frames for usage calculations, and warning thresholds. These settings determine what information displays within the Analyze module.
You might choose to show or hide certain metrics depending on your company's tracking needs. For instance, your company may prioritize tracking occupancy over monitoring usage. When Display is set to Hide, the fields are disabled.
Usage, Occupancy, and Space data appears in the Analyze dashboard's Metrics grid and metrics information box for buildings.
To view metrics options, go to Metrics.
Usage
We measure the usage of the building using different types of data, like bookings and badge tracking. Update these settings to view information that is critical and specific to your company.
-
Go to Metrics > Usage.
-
On the Usage page, under Utilization, enter or select your data display preferences:
-
Label: Descriptive label up to 255 characters.
-
Display: Toggle on or off to control the visibility of utilization metrics in the Analyze module.
-
-
Under Thresholds, enter the building utilization threshold percentages. These percentages provide alerts regarding the space utilization of a selected building in the form of alerts and warnings. For example, if a building's utilization is low, at 20%, you'll see an alert low indicator. In this scenario, you might want to create a new occupancy plan. The threshold settings also appear in the left navigation menu.
-
Alert low: Lowest utilization percentage. The default is 20%.
-
Warning low: Percentage higher than the alert low. The default is 40%.
-
Warning high: Percentage higher than the warning low. The default is 80%.
-
Alert high: Highest utilization percentage. The default is 90%.

Space
The Space settings show the expiration time frame for leased buildings in the Analyze module.
-
Go to Metrics > Space.
-
In Expiration date > Label, enter the label you want to show for the expiration date in Analyze. For example, Expiration.
-
In Display, toggle Hide or Show to control the visibility of utilization metrics in the Analyze module.
-
In Upcoming expiration, enter how you want to display the following in Analyze:
-
Label: Descriptive label up to 255 characters, intended to indicate if a lease is nearing expiration within a specific time frame.
-
Alert time frame: Number of months in advance you want to be alerted to an expiring lease. If the lease's expiration date is within the number of months you set, the pin in the Analyze module turns red. Consider the following examples, where today is April 2, 2023 and the Alert low is 18 months:
-
If a lease expires on June 1, 2025, then the Upcoming expiration is No.
-
If a lease expires on June 1, 2023, then the Upcoming expiration is Yes.
