The setup of space within a building determines its usability. Space plans and metrics help organize the building's floors for efficient and effective use. The setup process for facilities involves creating buildings, adjusting metrics, and establishing options for space planning.

Enter details that will be reflected in various metrics and utilized in other product features.

To view configuration settings, go to Facilities.

Configure the following items. The first four—buildings, floors, regions, and contracts—typically originate from other systems integrated with Accruent Space Intelligence. Manual creation is unnecessary as they are already integrated.

• Buildings: Set display and location settings.

• Floors: Create floors, set capacity, enter square footage, and determine sequence.

• Regions: Define and configure geographic regions.

• Contracts: Create contracts and assign to building floors.

• Departments: Create and configure departments.
