Procedures
Shops establish specific procedures or tasks for inspections and scheduled maintenance. For procedures entered in Classic TMS, follow the specific procedures for the corresponding work order. Using procedures ensures consistency and adherence to best practices.
The procedures grid within the work orders Procedure tab provides a list of procedures attached to a specific work order. This feature offers a read-only overview of all necessary procedures, enabling you to quickly access and review them without the need to switch to Classic TMS.
Procedure readings
The procedure readings display all information in a read-only format. Once you click Update procedures, you can enter the procedure readings. A summary displays at the top of each procedure:
-
Errors: Indicates that something went wrong. For instance, an incorrect value or data input mistake.
-
Blank readings: Occurs when no data was entered or captured for the procedure.
-
Warnings: Alerts that the reading is outside the norm or another potential issue that requires attention.
If one or more procedures and sub-procedures are associated with the work order, enter procedure readings before closing the work order. Procedure readings can take the form of a yes or no reading, notes entry, a data value, or a ranged value.
