Attachments Section
Add new attachments and view or delete existing attachments on work orders. You might upload attachments such as manuals, drawings, and photos to provide more detailed information and clarify the work needed.
Navigate to Attachments within various tabs when updating a work order. Attachments are included as a section within other tabs rather than having its own separate tab.
Attachments link to work orders, procedures, or assets. Before adding an attachment, choose one to associate it with. When you want to view or update an attachment, choose one to find the associated attachment. Select from the following options in the list:

Work orders: Links the attachment to the work order level.

Procedures: Ties the attachment to a procedure. After selecting procedure, choose the procedure name from the list.

Assets: Attaches the attachment to a asset. After selecting asset, choose the asset name from the list.
The default page view is List view, which displays all information in a spreadsheet-like format. Card view is where you can view the same items as blocks. You have the option to switch between views on desktop platforms. Click either the list or card icon located at the upper right of the list. Mobile phone and tablet devices only display Card view.
In List view, resize and reorder the columns, and sort them in either ascending or descending order.
The Attachments list view includes the following columns:

File name: Name of the file and its extension.

Description: Shows the attachment description.

Date added: Month, day, and year the attachment was added.

Type: Indicates if the attachments is a file or link.
Add file
Upload image files directly from your device or import them from your camera. Limit the file size for attachments to 50 MB. Ensure the file name, including the file extension, does not exceed 255 characters, with spaces counting towards this limit.

In the Attachments section, click Add file.

In the Add files window, select one of the following:

My Device: Select a file from your device. When it appears in the Add files window, click Add.

Camera: Import a file from your camera. To allow access to your camera, click Allow in the dialog that opens. Then click the Camera or Video button below the camera frame and click Add.

The file is added to the work order and displays in the Attachments list. The description matches the file name, but you can change it by updating the attachment.
Add link
Upload an image via a URL link so the file is loaded directly from the source URL each time it's viewed. This helps save space in Accruent TMS since the image is hosted on another web server. Also, link to the manufacturer's website for a specific part to gain a better understanding of procedures or other details.
You must already have uploaded a file to a server and copied the URL.

In the Attachments section, click Add link.

In URL, enter the URL where the file is hosted.

In Description, enter more detail about the attachment.

Click Add.
The URL is added to the work order and displays in the Attachments list.
Update attachment
Updating existing attachments on work orders ensures that everyone has access to the most current information.

In the Attachments section, select Update from the Actions menu.
The Update link or Update attachment window opens.

Make changes and click Update.
The updated information displays in the Attachments list.

Open a link attachment in a new browser tab for viewing.

In the Attachments section, select Open in new tab from the Actions menu.

In the information dialog that opens, click Continue.
The attachment opens in a new browser tab.
Download file attachment
Download attachments that were previously uploaded via Add file.

In the Attachments section, select Download from the Actions menu. Result is one of the following:

The file opens in a new browser tab if the file is PDF, png, jpeg or mp4.

The download process initiates for other file types, saving the file to the designated download folder on your local device.

If the file opens in a new browser tab, right-click the file and select Save image as from the menu that opens.

Navigate to the save location on your local device and click Save.
The files saves to your selected location.
Delete attachment
Delete an attachment from the work order.

In the Attachments section, on the left side of a row, select Delete from the Actions menu.

In the confirmation dialog, click Delete.
The attachment is deleted from the work order.
