Procedure Groups

Use procedure groups to collect multiple procedures and treat them as a group. Procedure groups make it easy to add multiple tasks in one step to a work order or schedule. You can also link time and materials to a procedure group.

Using procedure groups can streamline the management of work orders by allowing you to add multiple related tasks in one step, rather than individually.

For example, a facilities management team is responsible for the regular maintenance of HVAC systems in a large office building. Instead of creating separate work orders for each individual task they create a procedure group that includes all these tasks.

When it's time for HVAC maintenance, the team can add the entire procedure group to a work order with a single action.

By using procedure groups, the facilities management team reduces administrative overhead, improves consistency in task execution, and enhances overall efficiency. Procedure groups are useful for complex projects that involve multiple steps or tasks, making it easier to manage and execute them cohesively.

You need specific permissions to access each main navigation option for procedure groups.

In procedure groups, you have access to:

  • Create: You can create procedure groups. Start by identifying procedures that are frequently performed together or are part of a larger workflow.

  • Query: Perform queries to quickly find specific procedure groups or tailor your searches based on specific criteria.
