View Document Details

The View Document Details page displays detailed information about a document. You can open this window by clicking the Details button on a document record from either the search results on the Documents page or the Company Documents pane of the Company Details page.

The following panes of information are displayed:

  • Company Document Details – This pane displays general information about the document such as the name, ID number, document type, and description.
  • Current Properties – This pane displays a list of properties that the document is associated with. You can click the Add Properties link to add this document to additional properties, or click the DEL link to delete this document from a property. For more information, see the Properties pane on the Create Document page.
  • Terms – This pane displays both financial and date information about the document. One of the most important fields in this pane is the Expiration Date which indicates when the document becomes invalid.
  • Contact Information – This pane displays information about the person to contact about the document. If form letters are printed or manual emails are sent, they will be addressed according to the information in this pane.
  • Auto Email Setup – This pane displays information about any automatic email notifications that have been configured for the document. These notifications are sent out when the document is about to expire or has expired
  • Other Information – This pane displays other information about a document such as the project it is attached to or any parent document associated with it. It also contains a link to an electronic copy of the document, if one is attached.
  • Document History – This pane displays information about all updates that have been made to the document since it was created. These updates include changes to document information, indications of email messages sent, or changes in document status.
  • Other Options – This pane contains a link to the Outbound Messages window which displays a list of all outbound email messages sent about the document, including both manual messages and automatic email notifications.

In addition to the information displayed, the following operations may also be available, depending on your configuration and security rights:

  • Company Documents – Click this link to open the Documents page which allows you to search for other documents.
  • Return to Project – Click this link to open the Project Details page for the project the document is associated with. If the document is not associated with a project, this link is not displayed.
  • Edit Document – Click this link to open the Edit Document Details page which allows you to edit the document information, copy the document, or delete the document.
  • Online Document – Click this link to open the Online Document page which allows you to create an electronic document that references this company document.
