Work Order Creation Constraints
Customize the visibility and behavior of asset categories in work order creation, making it easy to refine what users see based on their roles, platforms, and specific work requirements. Adjust these settings to align with operational needs, ensuring only relevant options are accessible across the application on tabs like the Dashboard, Call Center, and Mobile. Additionally, specify associated problem types and set priorities to define urgency levels, helping organize tasks efficiently within work orders.
Categories
After creating an asset category, associate it with work order constraints.

Navigate to Admin > Work Order Creation Constraints.

Under the Categories section, search and select the asset category you created.

Configure the platforms where the asset category is available by selecting Yes on Available on:
• Dashboard: Create work orders for this asset category directly from the Dashboard.
• Call Center: Enables work order creation for this category in Call Center.
• Mobile: Makes the category available for creating work orders in Mobile.
• Linked Work Order: Use this asset category when creating linked work orders.

On the Document upload section, specify whether to require a document upload for this asset category on the work order to ensure proper documentation for tasks needing compliance or approval.

Click the plus sign on the Assign work order types section to assign priority levels or work order types.

On the Unavailable for roles section, click the plus sign to specify any roles that shouldn't have access to this category.

Click Save.
