PPM Advanced Options

Configure additional settings for the PPM in the Advanced Options tab in PPM Builder to customize work order completion, asset status tracking, permissions, and contract renewals. Most settings have default values that you can adjust to fit your organization's maintenance and operational requirements.

  • PPM completion level: Select whether the service provider can mark the PPM as complete if its activities are not fully completed.

  • Use asset operational status: Select whether the asset’s operational status is required when completing a work order. Select Optional or Required.

  • Enforce asset condition: Select whether you need to evaluate the asset’s condition when completing a work order. You must configure available condition options in Admin > Asset Conditions.

  • Permission to work required: Select whether the service provider needs a work permit before the work order can proceed.

  • Enforce asset indication: Select whether an asset must be indicated on the PPM before the work order is complete. If selected, a prompt displays when the service provider finalizes the work order.

  • Auto-renew contract: Allow contracts to automatically renew at the end of their term. This applies only to annual contracts.

  • Open to status: Select the default status for PPM to generate work orders:

    • Assigned: The work order is automatically assigned to the provider without requiring further action. We recommend you select Assigned to avoid requiring manual provider acceptance.

    • Pending provider notification: The work order generates, but the system notifies the provider before they can act on it.

    • Pending acceptance: The provider must manually accept the work order before proceeding. This adds an approval step before work begins.
