Calendar and Schedule Setup

This page lists all calendars and schedules for sites, systems, utilities, departments, and locations.

The following information displays for each calendar in a smart table:

  • Name: The calendar or schedule name

  • Type: Indicates the type of information is on the calendar, such as Control Actions, Equipment, Occupancy, and Operations

  • Alias: An alternative name or shorthand description of the calendar

  • Description: A brief description of the calendar

  • Setpoint generated: Indicates whether setpoints are generated for this calendar

  • Parent calendar: The calendar on which this one is based or from which it borrows attributes

Select a calendar to view or update it.

Click New to create a new calendar.

ClosedCalendar Criteria

Calendar criteria determines which asset or location displays on the calendar. For each of the following criteria types, you can select an item within that criteria. For example, a site for the Site type criteria.

  • Department: Specific department within the organization

  • Geography: Specific location, such as Country, State, or City

  • Site: A particular site within the organization

  • Site Attribute: Specific attributes or characteristics of a site

  • Site Organization: The organizational structure or grouping of a site

  • Site Type: The type of site, such as a retail store, office building, or warehouse

  • System Component: Specific components or parts within the system

  • Utility:

  • Utility Organization:

Select a current criteria value to view or edit it in Type or click New to add criteria. You can add multiple criteria to a calendar.

This page allows you to mange the selected schedule or calendar via a smart table.

The smart table displays the following:

  • Name: Identifies the event, typically indicating the day, such as Monday, Tuesday, Summer Mondays, and so on

  • Type: Specifies the type of event, such as Special circumstance maintenance, Holiday, or Day of week

  • Timeslot label: Indicates the status related to the event, such as occupied or operating

  • Start date: Indicates the beginning of the date range in which the event occurs

  • End date: Indicates the end of the date range in which the event occurs

  • Timeslot: Shows the start and end times for the event. If not set, click Schedule and configure the following:

    • Site status: Status of the site or location for the scheduled timeslot

    • Timeslot label: Label or status related to the event, such as occupied or operating

    • Occupied time: Amount of time during the timeslot in which the site will be occupied

    • Unoccupied time: The amount of time during the timeslot in which the site will be unoccupied

    • Effective start date: Beginning of the date range in which the timeslot will be recurring

    • Effective end date: Indicates the end of the date range in which the event occurs

  • Country: Country that the event takes place

The following options are available at the bottom of the page:

  • Add events: Select pre-defined events and add them to the calendar or schedule

  • New event: Create a new event with a new Event name to the calendar or schedule

    You can configure the following:

    • Name: Identifies the event, typically indicating the day, such as Monday, Tuesday, Summer Mondays, and so on

    • Event type: Specifies the type of event, such as Special circumstance maintenance, Holiday, or Day of week

    • Recurrence: How the event recurs (fluctuates, one-time event, or same day each month, week, or year)

    • Example start date: The beginning of the date range in which the event will be recurring

    • Example end date: The end of the date range in which the event occurs

    • Date range event: Specifies the date range for the event

    • Country: Specifies the country where the event takes place

  • Remove selected events: Removes any selected events in the smart table from the calendar or schedule

  • Set schedule for selected: Lets you set the timeslot for any selected events in the smart table

    You can configure the following:

    • Set behavior: Determines what to do with timeslots that are already scheduled (either Create new or Overwrite existing timeslots)

    • Site status: The status of the site or location for the scheduled timeslot (occupied or unoccupied)

    • Timeslot label: Label or status related to the event, such as occupied or operating

    • Occupied time: Amount of time during the timeslot in which the site will be occupied

    • Unoccupied time: The amount of time during the timeslot in which the site will be unoccupied

    • Effective start date: Beginning of the date range in which the timeslot will be recurring

    • Effective end date: End of the date range in which the timeslot will be recurring

This page allows you to manage the selected schedule or calendar, and you can visualize it as month, week, day, or list.

Click an event on the calendar to view or edit its details.

Click a blank area on the day and time on which you want a new event to occur. Event details include:

  • Event name: Unique identifier for the event, typically indicating the day, such as Monday, Tuesday, Summer Mondays, and so on

    Event names are country-specific, so you can have multiple events with the same name if each event is in a different country.

  • Timeslot label: Label or status related to the event, such as occupied or operating

  • Start time: The start date and time for the event

  • End time: The end date and time for the event

  • Date range: The date range in which the event will be recurring, based on a season or month, or some other category in which the effective start and end dates are pre-defined; using this option displays another Date range field showing the effective start and end dates for the range selected

  • Effective start date: Beginning of the date range in which the timeslot will be recurring

  • Effective end date: End of the date range in which the timeslot will be recurring.
