Require Asset on Work Order Creation

Configure asset categories or subcategories to make assets mandatory when creating a work order or a linked work order. This ensures accurate asset tracking, improves maintenance history, and prevents work orders from being created without specifying the relevant asset.

Prerequisite

Before making assets mandatory, you must first create the necessary category.

Make asset required on category

1. Navigate to Admin > Asset Categories.

2. In the Fixture use categories section, select a category to edit.

3. On the SUB 2 page, in the Asset required to open WO option, select Yes.

4. Click Save.

Make asset required on subcategory

1. Go to Admin > Asset Categories.

2. In the Fixture use categories section, select a category to edit.

3. On the SUB 2 page, go to the Categories section and click a subcategory.

4. On the SUB 3 page, in the Asset required to open WO option, select Yes.

5. Click Save.
