Remove PPM Assets Configuration

Configure settings in Admin to remove assets that have been automatically added and manage asset removals for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) work orders. These options ensure that only correctly indicated assets are included, with documented reasons and verification workflows for removals. The system saves the asset removal action in Work Order Summary and marks the asset as Asset removed. You can review the historical record of the event in AssetsPending Asset Actions.

Automatically indicate assets

Ensure assets are automatically indicated for the contract of PPM work orders, instead of requiring manual indication:

  1. Go to AdminPPM Manager.

  2. Select the PPM.

  3. In the Asset indicated handling option, select Automatically indicate assets.

  4. Click Save current values.

    When you select this option, the assets that fit the PPM builder's settings automatically appear on ServiceOutstanding Work OrdersSummaryIndicate PPM Assets.

Add reason for removal

Specify why an asset is removed from a work order, configure removal reasons:

  1. Go to AdminAsset action reasons.

  2. Click New.

  3. Complete:

    • Name: A name for the removal reason.

    • Description: A description explaining the removal reason.

    • Required pending asset action review: Select Yes to require management review.

    • Status: Select Active.

  4. Click Save.

Require notification workflow

Require verification when an asset is removed:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Asset Management.

  2. Select Yes in Asset request required - pending verification workflow.

  3. Click Save.
