Telemetry Criteria

Define the data or asset performance sensor readings that trigger a flagged condition based on environmental or operational factors. These criteria help preventative rules determine when a condition is flagged.

Telemetry criteria steps

When you add telemetry criteria steps, each line acts as the operand OR. Use various operators, such as And, Or, and comparison rules like Greater than or Less than from the dropdown menus to set specific criteria.

Specify when to monitor variables and controllers, such as during operational or occupancy hours.

Calculation time frame

Define how often the condition is checked, whether it's sustained, cumulative, or recurring. This setup prevents multiple alerts for the same rule.

Value capture

Report why the condition is flagged by capturing steps with names and value suffixes. The system returns the captured steps with the provided aliases and values.

System variables

Capture variables to see their maximum, minimum, and average values. Apply these to the flagged conditions within the selected time frame.

Create telemetry criteria steps

  1. Navigate to Flagged System Condition Rules and click a current rule.

  2. On the Telemetry criteria tab, click New step.

  3. Select the operand, such as And or Or, to connect multiple conditions.

  4. Click + to choose a system variable, such as humidity, precipitation, or temperature.

  5. Click Select.

  6. Choose the step the system variable applies to and click Select.

  7. In the System variable (component) section, adjust the following:

    • First dropdown: Select options like sum, variance, time until normal, or count to define how the system processes telemetry data.

    • Second dropdown: Choose between operational hours, occupancy hours, or equipment timeslots to set when the variable is evaluated.

    • Third dropdown: Specify if it applies to the same controller, parent controller, or others.

  8. Define the Criteria, such as whether the value exceeds, equals, or falls below a specific threshold.

  9. Click Save.

Repeat to add additional steps.
