Manufacturers
Navigation: Training > Manufacturers > Manufacturers.png.
This section allows you to add a new manufacturer / supplier for asset types, search for an existing manufacturer / supplier, and edit it to modify its information.
The manufacturer / supplier list will be used in the asset type detail.
Example of functionality in use
Add a new manufacturer / supplier:
1) Click the New button to add a new manufacturer/supplier
2) Complete the information on the screen
3) Once these have been completed, click the Save button
| Field | Description |
| Manufacturer / Supplier Name | Enter the name of the manufacturer / supplier to be listed in the asset types chooser |
| VAT Registration No. | Enter the manufacturer / supplier's Value Added Tax registration number, if applicable |
| Manufacturer / Supplier Description | Enter a description of the manufacturer / supplier |
Any newly added manufacturer / supplier will not be available in the manufacturer / supplier list unless it is associated to a client by an administrator.
Search for the existing manufacturer/supplier:
There are three available search filters on this smart table; as shown in Screenshot #1 above; Manufacturer name, Description and Location
Enter a key word in the search field and click on the Search button.
Modify the existing manufacturer/supplier:
Select the manufacturer / supplier that requires amending and you will be navigated to the Manufacturer / Supplier Profile page. Once the required modifications have been made, click the Save button. Changes will not be saved if the Cancel button is selected.
Export manufacturer / supplier list:
In addition, with the help of the Export button, the manufacturer / supplier table can be exported into an Excel, CSV or text file format.
Configuration of functionality
The functionality is configurable by role.
Other Notes
Any newly added manufacturer / supplier will not be available in the manufacturer / supplier list unless it is associated to a client by an administrator. Please contact your vx Suite administrator to switch on this ability.
