The Connected Assets page provides an overview of your assets, their associated system events, and the connected devices, known as controllers. Use this page to quickly access asset and system details. You can also import assets when needed.

The smart table displays the following:

  • Asset number: Click to view the asset detail information.

  • Site name

  • Asset status

  • Controller status

  • Controller name

Click the Options Options icon and select other information to view on the table.

Import assets and systems

Add and edit assets and systems in a bulk using the Import functionality. The changes reflect not only on the Connected Assets page but also in All Assets.

Before importing, download and complete the template.

In the importer, an asset might appear more than once as it can be associated with multiple systems. However, if the asset appears multiple times, only one row should specify the add or edit operation, while the other rows should leave the operation column blank.

Download and complete template

  1. On the Connected Assets page, click Import.

  2. In the File type field, select Tab delimited, CSV, or Excel.

  3. Click Download template.

The file downloads to your browser downloads folder.

  4. Open the file and complete all required columns.

Upload template

After you complete the template, upload it to the system.

  1. On the Connected Assets page, click Import.

  2. In the File type field, select the format you used in the template.

  3. Click Choose file and select the completed template from your device.

  4. Click Open.

  5. Click Import.

The system validates the data during upload and allows you to review a section of the data for accuracy:

  • If all data is valid, the assets are uploaded for final verification.

  • If errors are found, a message highlights the problematic rows, preventing the upload.

Since partial uploads are not allowed, correct any errors and re-upload the file.
