Parked Quotes and Estimates
This functionality is used to park any given quotes or estimates.
Create a release a quote:

Navigate to: Service > Authorisations > Parked Quotes and Estimates.

Parked Quote Detail.
This page is used to release, cancel, or re-quote quotes.
If a user opens a parked quote, the following options will be available in the Review Action drop-down menu:

Null: This is the default option.

Release Quote: On selection of Release Quote , the Comments field becomes mandatory. When a user selects this option, the quote is released from the table and is available in the stage from which it was parked. Also, a new Work Order history event is recorded for the quote unparking process.
For example, if a quote was parked at the 1st Level of review, after it is released from the table it is again be available in 1st Level review. After this, the quote is subjected to the normal life cycle such as being subjected to 2nd and 3rd level review.

Cancel Quote: This is a resource-controlled option. Upon selection of the Cancel Quote option, the quote is canceled. The Comments field is mandatory.

Re-Quote: This is a resource-controlled option. Upon selection of the Re-Quote option, the quote process is re-initiated.

Select the Release Quote option from the Review Action drop-down menu.
The Comments field becomes mandatory.

Click the Submit button.
The parked quote is released and located in the stage from which it was parked. The Park Comments and Release Comments fields display. A new work order history event is also recorded.

Park Comments: This is a read-only field that displays the comments entered when the quote was parked. The label of this field also contains the name of the user who parked the quote.

Release Comments: This is a read-only field that displays the comments entered when the quote was released. The label of this field will also contain the name of the user who released the quote.
These fields will only be available if the quote was parked in the past.

Release Estimate

Navigate to Service > Authorizations > Parked Quotes and Estimates.

Select Estimate > Parked Estimate Detail.
This is a page which is used to release or reject the Estimate.
The following options will be available in the Review Action drop-down menu:

Null: This is the default option.

Release Estimate: Upon selecting the Release Estimate option, the Comments field becomes a mandatory field. When the user selects this option, the estimate is released from the parked process and is made available in the stage from which it was parked. Also, a new work order history event is recorded.

Reject: This is a resource-controlled option. Upon selection of the Reject option, the status of the work order changes to Service Complete and a new work order history event is written containing the rejection comments and indicating the change of status. Also, an Estimate Rejected e-mail is sent to the contractor / provider. In this case, both the Comments and Rejection Reasons fields are mandatory.

Select the Release Estimate option.
The Comments field becomes a required field.

Click the Submit button.
The parked estimate is released and located in the stage from which it was parked. The Park Comments and Release Comments fields display. Also, a new work order history event is recorded.
The following are the descriptions of these fields:

Park Comments: This is a read-only field, displaying the comments entered when the estimate was parked. The label of this field also contains the name of the user who parked the estimate.

Release Comments: This is a read-only field, displaying the comments entered when the estimate was released. The label of this field also contains the name of the user who released the estimate.
The park and unpark comments are only available if the estimate was parked in the past.

Configuration of functionality

The Awaiting Review, 2nd Level Review, 3rd Level Review, and Parked Quotes and Estimates tables are configurable by role. These can be displayed to users with view-rights only or with full access.

The available options in the Action Review drop-down menu can be controlled by role.

Re-estimate is a resource-controlled option. If this option is enabled, it will be available in the Action drop-down menu on the Work Order Summary pages.

Request Re-estimate at 1st Level Review is a resource-controlled option. If this option is enabled, it will be available in the Review Action drop-down menu on the 1st level Estimate Review page.

Request Re-estimate at 2nd Level Review is a resource-controlled option. If this option is enabled it will be available in the Review Action drop-down menu on the 2nd level Estimate Review page.

Request Re-estimate at 3rd Level Review is a resource-controlled option. If this option is enabled it will be available in the Review Action drop-down menu on the 3rd level Estimate Review page.

If the user only has view rights for Parked Quote Detail under Service > Authorizations > Parked Quotes and Estimates > Parked Quote Detail, the Submit button will be removed from this page.

If the user only has view rights for Parked Estimate Detail under Service > Authorizations > Parked Quotes and Estimates > Parked Estimate Detail, the Submit button will be removed from this page.
Other Notes

When either a quote or estimate is parked from the approval screens, an e-mail notification will be sent out to the contractor / provider if the e-mail address is defined.

If the contractor does not have an email address entered in the system, the system will display a message that informs the user to contact the contractor / provider by telephone, along with the available telephone number.
