Associate Provider
Define who can provide services based on asset type, preferences, or viewing permissions. For example, add a provider based on expertise in specific asset categories or as a backup option for work orders. When creating a work order, if you select a category, subcategory, or problem type that matches the provider’s expertise, this provider appears as an option in the Service provider field.
Prerequisites
Your administrator might need to give you permission for you to add providers.
Types of association
The types of association define how the provider associates with the assets. The options are:
- Preferred: Marks the provider as the primary option for handling work orders.
-
2nd preference and 3rd preference: Assigns further preferences in case the preferred provider is unavailable.
-
Non-preferred: Associates the provider but marks them as a lower priority for selection.
-
Warranty: Indicates that the provider is responsible for warranty-related issues on the assets.
-
Asset view only: Allows providers to view specific assets but prevents them from being selected when creating a new work order.
