Meter Detail

View and manage information about utility meters associated with a bill. You can view and update utility usage, meter readings, and charges.

  1. Go to UtilitiesAll Bills.

  2. Click the bill transaction number you want.

  3. On the Bill Detail page, click the utility type on the upper-right corner.

  4. On Meter Detail, view and edit:

    • Meter number: Unique identifier for the meter.

    • Utility bill type: Type of utility service, such as electricity, natural gas, or waste.

    • Utility service types: Categories of services provided by the utility, like electric, natural gas, or waste utility.

    • Is regulated: Indicates whether the utility service follows rules set by a regulatory authority.

ClosedMeter readings

View and update meter readings related to utility usage.

  1. In Meter Detail, navigate to the Meter readings smart table.

  2. Click Edit to modify the following details:

    • Rate code: The pricing code applied to the meter reading.

    • Meter start date: Beginning date of the meter reading period.

    • Meter end date: Closing date of the meter reading period.

    • Meter start read: Initial value recorded by the meter at the start of the period.

    • Meter end read: Final value recorded by the meter at the end of the period.

    • Meter start read code: Code that categorizes the initial meter reading.

    • Meter end read code: Code that categorizes the final meter reading.

    • Reading category: Classification of the meter reading, such as electric.

    • Reading type: Specifies the type of reading.

    • Utility variable: The type of variable measured by the meter, like energy consumption.

    • Unity of measurement: Unit used to measure the variable, such as kWh for electricity.

    • Power factor: Efficiency rating that shows how well the meter utilizes electricity.

    • Meter multiplier: Factor applied to the meter reading to adjust the value.

    • Measured: Represents the value of the utility measurement, indicating the actual amount measured.

    • Usage: Amount of utility consumed during the meter reading period.

    • Is reported: Indicates whether the reading has been reported.

    • Next scheduled meter read: Scheduled date for the upcoming meter reading.

  3. Click Save.

ClosedCharges

View and manage associated charges for the meter.

  1. In Meter Detail, go to the Charges smart table.

  2. Click Edit and modify the following details:

    • Charge name: Name of the specific charge.

    • Description: A brief explanation of the charge.

    • Charge type: Category or type of charge, such as fixed or variable.

    • Is reported: Indicates whether the charge has been reported.

    • Amount: Monetary amount of the charge.

  3. Click Save.
