Simulate Alarms to Test Filter Rules

Use the Alarm Filter Rules Simulation tool to test whether alarms trigger automated processes set up for them, such as notifications and work order creation. Validate and adjust filter rules without running a live alarm.

1. Go to vx Observe > Alarms > Raw Alarms > Simulate Alarm Filter Rules.

2. Select the Client, Site Controller, Controller Name, and Alarm Definition for the alarm you want to simulate.

   The tool shows whether the alarm's filter rules trigger the expected automated processes.
