 View the Asset Bill of Materials

The Asset BOM (Bill of Materials) grid shows a list of materials that were issued to an asset. TMS tells you the quantity that was issued. If the same material was issued to the same asset in different quantities, TMS displays the largest quantity issued. This is so that you can see, directly on the work order, what materials and what quantity of the materials might be needed to complete the repair.

To view the asset BOM, follow these steps:

  1. Open the work order you want you want to edit in Work Order Edit.

  2. Select the tab with the Asset BOM grid.

Materials associated with the asset/assets tied to the work order are listed in the grid.

In order for a material to show in this grid, its Category code must have the Asset BOM option checked in the code record (Setup > Materials > Codes, open a code and check Asset BOM).
