Work Order Time Charges Business Rules

There is no limit to the amount of time charges to a work order.

The date of the time charge can be backdated.

The date can't be set for a future date.

Time charge cost is calculated by multiplying Hours, Charge Rate, and Hours Type factor.

Time charges can be deleted or modified on work orders that are Active or Completed.

No time can be charged to work orders that are Canceled, Closed, or Pending.

Allow Total Cost Edit for a time charge is an option that can be enable or disabled. This allows the user to edit the total cost after the hours are entered.  

If a work order is a group work order,  the time charges are divided equally among the number of pieces of equipment in the group.

Required fields for time charges are Date, Resource, Hours, Type, Account, Billable.

Can charge more than 24 hours to a single time charge.

The date is defaulted to system date.

The user can enter time in decimal format or time format.

Time is displayed in a decimal format.

User can enter comments for each time charge.
