PM Schedule (TMS Enterprise) - Details Tab

The Details tab contains User Defined Field labels, a place to include special instructions for the technician (not the process), and two additional options.

User Defined

Use the ten fields on the Details tab to store any additional information that is important to your organization. The field labels can be customized to be anything that you want on the Form Properties page.

Instructions

Instructions is a list of work or notes for a PM work order. There are two ways to show instructions in TMS: on the PM schedule or on a procedure. Putting the instructions on a procedure and then using the procedure on multiple PM schedules gives you a consistent PM strategy. Occasionally you will need special instructions just for one asset or PM template.

An example of when to put instructions on the PM schedule is if you have five air handler units that you want to maintain in exactly the same way. However, one air handler unit (AHU-04) needs special instructions:

"This AHU may not be shut down for maintenance or repair if there is an active or pending case in operating rooms. Contact the Surgery Department and request permission to shut down the unit before you begin any work."

Options

  • Unique WO - Select this check box if you want to print one work order if the asset, skill, and next due date are the same. If you do not select this option, TMS creates one work order if multiple work orders are due.

  • Variable Schedule - Select this check box if you want to skip a PM generation if there is still an outstanding work order that is not complete. The PM schedule will generate again once the work order is completed.

This option is not often implemented by our users. For this reason, unless the Variable Schedule check box is selected, the default state of the PM schedule is a fixed generation schedule. For fixed generation schedules, PMs are generated regardless of whether there is an outstanding work order.
