Manual Schedule Generation Business Rules
- If theOnly Include Meter Schedules Due and Only List Schedules for Due Dates options are selected, both the due meter-based schedules and the due calendar-based schedules are returned.
- If the Only Include Meter Schedules Due option is selected and the Only List Schedules for Due Dates is not selected, only meter-based schedules that are due are returned.
- If the Schedule Type field is left blank, the query returns every schedule type.
-
If a schedule has a variable schedule, and there is an outstanding active work order that has been generated for that schedule, the schedule will not be selected for generation.
-
If the Only Include Meter Schedules Due or the Only List Schedules for Due Dates options are selected, the query will also only return the schedule templates with a status of Active. This is regardless of whether the user selected any other criteria.
- If the Create Multiple WOs if Due in Date Range option is selected, TMS will generate more than one work order for a schedule if the frequency of the schedule is shorter than the period for which the schedules are being generated. For example, if the generation period is a month, TMS generates four work orders for any schedule with a weekly frequency.
-
The Create Multiple WOs if Due in Date Range option can only be selected when the Only list Schedules for Due Dates option is selected, and both the Use System Date when Generating and Do not update next due date options are not selected.
-
When the Only list Schedules for Due Dates option is not selected, the Create Multiple WOs if Due in Date Range option is not available. Only the Use System date when generating option is available.
-
When the Only list Schedules for Due Dates option is selected (and multiple schedules are selected), the Use system date when generating and Do not update next due date options are not available.
-
If the Use system date when generating or the Do not update next due date (or both) are selected, the Create Multiple WOs if Due in Date Range option is not available.
-
When no options are selected, all options except Create Multiple WOs if Due in Date Range are available.
-
When a schedule is generated, either a work order is created for the schedule, or the data on the schedule is appended to an existing work order. The next due date and/or the next due meter will be advanced based on the frequency or meter interval of the schedule.
-
When schedules are generated, TMS attempts to combine any schedules with the same asset and the same skill that are due within the same period into one work order. This means that if a quarterly, a monthly, and a weekly schedule are all due for the same asset and skill, TMS creates one work order with the procedures for all three work orders.
-
If a work order is created with multiple PMs, then completing the work order updates the Last Completed date of every PM that is associated with that work order. Referring to the previous example, the next due date on the quarterly, monthly, and weekly PM are all updated when the work order is completed.
-
If the Unique WO option is selected, the schedule will not be combined with any other schedule on the work order. The schedule will always have a unique work order.
-
If the schedule has a variable schedule, a temporary next due date is saved to the schedule. This due date is not the actual next due date for the schedule because a new work order for that schedule won't be generated until the last work order is completed. When the work order is completed, the next due date for the schedule is updated by adding the frequency to the date the work order was completed. For example, if a schedule has a monthly frequency and a variable schedule, and is generated on 4/1/2015, a temporary next due date of 5/1/2015 is saved to the schedule. When it is time to generate the May schedules, the schedule won't generate a new work order because there is still an outstanding work order for that schedule. If the work order is completed on 5/10/2015, the next due date of the schedule is updated to 6/10/2015.
-
If the Do not update next due date option is selected, the due dates of the schedule templates are not updated
-
Schedule templates without procedures assigned generate a schedule work order.
-
If the Only List Schedules for Due Date option is selected, values for the Due From Date and Due to Date fields are required. Otherwise, these fields are unavailable.
-
If the Only List Schedules with Checklist option is selected, the query only returns checklist schedules. This criteria is applied in addition to any other criteria or date range that the user selects.
-
Manual schedule generation can only be performed on one segment at a time and cannot be performed on the Shared segment.
-
If the Only Include Meter Schedules Due option is selected, the query returns any schedule with a schedule type of Meter or Both with an asset meter reading that is greater than or equal to the next due meter on the schedule.
-
If the Use system date when generating option is selected, the due dates for the schedule templates generated are updated from the system date.
-
If the Create multiple WOs if Due in Date Range option is selected, then multiple work orders are created for schedule templates. For example, if the date range is for an entire month and there are weekly schedule templates available, there will be four schedule work orders generated.
-
When manual schedule generation is initiated, if manual or auto schedule generation is already running in that segment, TMS alerts you and gives you the option to continue.
-
Auto schedule generation runs regardless of manual schedule generation.
