PE Schedules Business Rules
-
When a PM/PE is duplicated, all related information is copied. Participants, procedures, and exceptions are copied.
- The next due date automatically updates from the selected frequency.
- The last generated date is the next due date for the PE schedule, prior to when it was last generated.
- The last completed date comes from the date the last PE work order status was changed to Complete.
- When a you select a frequency of Annual, you must enter the number of years. This must be a whole number that is greater than 0 and less than 10.
- When you select a frequency of Days Interval, you must select the number of days. This must be a whole number that is greater than 0.
-
Each PE always creates a unique work order.
-
Each PE can have either a fixed or variable schedule. This selection effects how the next due date of the PE is calculated.
- There is no default type for PEs.
- A PE can have any number of procedures, but a procedure is not required.
- PE assignments are called participants.
-
PEs have an optional site, building and location.
-
PEs can only have a schedule type of Calendar.
-
PEs cannot be assigned to an asset.
-
If multiple assets are on the work order, only the custom field values from the first asset are applied to the work order. Therefore, when a PE schedule with custom field data is generated into a work order, the corresponding custom fields on the work order are populated with the values from the PE schedule.
