Users and Groups Business Rules

General

Group Code/Group Name must be unique.

UserID must be unique.

Users cannot create or see users for a group with different segment permissions than their own.

Users cannot see groups with different segment permissions than their own.

All groups have the System segment in their access list.

A group's default segment must be included in its segment list.

You cannot delete a group if it has users associated with it.

Groups TMS do not need to be added as logins for SQL Server or given the proper permissions to the tables and views.

When a group is added, by default, menu security is set up as Full access to all modules across all accessible segments.

A user can't login if they aren't marked as Active.

A user can't be deleted if a transaction has been posted against the user.

Segment is a User Defined Field label.
